The game is over!
Well that was the week that was – Chess the Musical is now one to look back on. Thank you to all those who came and supported us, we had wonderful, busy houses all week and great audience reaction.
This tournament may be over but Irving marches on through its anniversary year – next up are our fundraising Cabaret Evening in June; and My Fair Lady in November.

Chess is a love story set against the background of the Cold War, with opposing superpowers using an international chess championship for political ends, using the players as pawns.
Two grand masters of the ancient game, one American, one Russian, face each other a chess board, while a young woman becomes torn between the two.
This intriguing, passionate musical includes songs including huge hits ‘I Know Him So Well’ and ‘One Night In Bangkok’; as well as the popular ‘Anthem’, ‘Heaven Help my Heart’ and ‘Pity The Child’.
